Windows 2003 Cloud Hosting

Quick, Simple, and Scalable Windows 2003 Cloud Hosting

Why Should I Choose Windows 2003 Cloud Hosting or a Windows 2003 Dedicated Server?

We decided to offer both Windows 2003 cloud hosting and a Windows 2003 dedicated server so that all of our customers would have access to this scalable and flexible Windows-based operating system.

Windows 2003 is one of the most commonly used server operating systems on the web. Originally released by Microsoft in 2003, the software is a proven and reliable choice for Windows-based installations. The operating system is incredibly scalable and delivers superior performance backed by the innovative power of Microsoft.

Some of Windows 2003's improvements over previous Windows Server versions include better Message Queuing, Active Directory, Group Policy, scripting, disk management, and command line tools. Microsoft also added features like Automated System Recovery with a backup system to restore lost files and Manage Your Server, a tool that gives the administrator control over the server's functionality.

Steadfast Networks offers an updated version, Windows 2003 Standard Edition R2, for our Cloud Platform customers. Some improvements to the R2 software include an Administration Tools Pack and remote hardware features for better server manageability, additional Active Directory components, improved disk and file management features, access to Windows SharePoint services, and the inclusion of server virtualization via a licensing policy allowing up to four virtual servers per physical copy of the software.

For dedicated server customers, Steadfast Networks offers a choice between Windows 2003 Web and Standard editions. The main difference between the two versions is that because the web edition was designed for building and hosting web page applications, and it is a slightly smaller installation that doesn't include the Standard edition's full complement of features.

How to Get Windows 2003 Cloud Hosting

The Windows 2003 Standard Edition R2 operating system is available for all of our Steadfast Networks Cloud Platform customers. For just $20 per month, clients get access to all our great cloud hosting features as well as dozens of JumpBox applications and a choice of operating system.

How to Get a Windows 2003 Dedicated Server

Simple – our dedicated server customers can opt to have Windows 2003 installed on their systems. Leasing a dedicated server starts at just $79.95 per month, and we charge an additional $20 per month for Windows 2003 Web Edition, or $30 per month for Windows 2003 Standard Edition.

Please note that although Steadfast Networks is happy to make Windows Server 2003 available to our Cloud Platform and dedicated server customers, we are unable to provide dedicated support for this software. Windows 2003 is specifically recommended for users whose intended software choices are not compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2 or for users who need to run a 32-bit version of Windows.
