Debian Technical Requirements

Debian is compatible with any computer architecture or platform that supports the Linux or FreeBSD kernel, and on which this kernel has been ported and a Debian port exists. Check out Debian's Ports page for more information.

In terms of disk space and memory, Debian recommends your virtual machine or dedicated server have at least 512MB RAM and 5GB hard drive space for a 32-bit or 64-bit processor with desktop.
