Cacti Cloud Hosting

An intuitive, open source graphing solution for easy network monitoring.

What is Cacti Cloud Hosting?

Cacti Cloud hosting is an open-source network graphing service offered by Steadfast Networks. Cacti is available free to all users of our Cloud Platform, which starts at just $20 per month. To use Cacti, simply go to Operating System and select Ubuntu, then select JumpBox Cacti. You will be creating effective graphs to manage your network in no time!

What is Cacti?

Cacti is a web-based graphing tool that is supported by Steadfast Networks' Cloud Hosting. Designed as a complete, PHP-driven frontend to Round Robin Database Tool (RRDTool), Cacti gathers and stores the data necessary for users to graph and monitor network metrics such as traffic and CPU load. Since it is an open source program, Cacti is constantly being updated by users to ensure that the latest software developments are always being incorporated.

Cacti offers users the ability to create an RRDTool-based graph using existing paths to any external script or command, or from user-created data sources. This versatile software offers multiple graph display options as well as the standard RRDTool graph types and functions. A PHP-based poller is included with the program to allow fast data gathering and quick updates to RRD files. And Cacti also includes an easy-to-use user-based management tool. It is possible for multiple users to be given varying levels of control and network rights, and each user is allowed individual and customizable graph-viewing settings.

Cacti provides fast data polling for users whose needs range from small, LAN-sized installations up to networks with several hundred devices. For users who do require information gathering on a larger scale, Cacti offers Spine, a speedier replacement for the default PHP poller. With its intuitive interface and rapid data gathering system, Cacti is the perfect network monitoring choice for all users.
