    Default WiMax

    Hello, I'm very interested in the WiMax access you guys offer. However I live in Burbank IL (79th and Harlem) which seems to be about 11-12 miles away from 350 E Cermak. Is there any way we could try to make it work over your 5 mile limit? I'm willing to purchase additional equipment (directional antennas) if necessary and pay any extra setup fees for your trouble.

    Wimax usually has a cell radius of 4-6 miles. It isn't designed to go much further.

    RCN has a nice 20mbit plan if they are in your building.

    Well, it can go further, but you generally need line of sight at that point. You should be able to get 25 miles or so with line of sight.
