    Default Reseller Program

Aloha. I am interested in purchasing one of your reseller packages. I just have a few questions. When I signup for one of the programs, will I be able to resell the web space in any increment to others? What should the prices I set be? Will they set up their account through Steadfast, and if so will the prices I set conflict with others that you may offer? I am just wondering how the process will be as far as me reselling space to others and how they will need to set it up. There was not much information about this on your site so I had thought I would try this forum. I have been with Steadfast for a few months now and love the service. Very inexpensive and great customer service. If someone could get back to me about this dilema, I would greatly appreciate it.

You can sell and distribute the resources you are given in any manner you wish. You can charge whatever you want for those resources. You would offer these services from your own site or through your own means. You can offer additional software support, more hand-holding, or web-site design services to distinguish your services from ours.

    Default Thanks, but....

Aloha. Thanks for your reply. So, I purchase an certain amount of space and can reseller any portion of it to someone. My question, I guess, is who then is their "host"? Is it Steadfast? How do I give them the proper uplaod information? Do they go through you? Do I enter their information to set up their account? Do they have access to a control panel like I do through you? Do I have to be their customer support agent or does Steadfast take care of that. I am very interested in pursuing this, but am somewhat of a novice. I hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks again!

    Hello Pride,

I don't work for Steadfast, I'm just a customer that is happy with their service and saw this thread that didn't have a reply yet (Karl and Ray must be busy or have already talked to you about it outside of the forum) and thought I might be able to help clear up some of your questions.

When you resell the space you have purchased from Steadfast to your own customers, you become their host. While everything is really hosted on Steadfast's servers, Steadfast is invisible to your customers. Each customer you host will have their own upload information for their domain (i.e. ftp.customerdomain.com) as well as their own control panel. You are responsible for supporting your customers. I believe Steadfast only supports their own customers, but they do include helpdesk software for you to use to support your customers.

I hope that all made sense. Good luck in your venture

    Thanks druid.

    You are completely accurate.

Resellers are responsible for supporting their customers. We will answer questions for the reseller if contacted directly by the reseller. If customers of a reseller contact us regarding things, we refer them to their reseller.

    Default web site setup

Please let us know if the following information is listed somewhere in the Knowledge Base?
What are the steps we need to take in order to setup reselling from our own web site? We want our customers to access their control panel from our site. Each customer we host will have their own upload information for their domain as well as their own control panel. How would we setup the Control Panel for our customers to access it from our own site? It would be very helpful to see how others setup their reseller site, and get links to websites to look at good examples. Your input is appreciated. Thanks.

    Default Control Panel setup question

This information has proven to be an major road block to us. Please be specific for the following:
Each customer we host has their own upload information for their domain (i.e. ftp.customerdomain.com). However we would like our customers to have access to their control panel, and we want it to appear that it is coming through our site. What are the steps we need to take in order to setup that control panel for our customers to access through our web site? Thanks for your response in advance.
