velicorapter vs. 10k sas vs. 15k sas

Anyone have some good performance comparisons between the velicorapter 300 GB and the 10k and 15k sas drive options in terms of IOPs and real-world web/database performance?

Also is the $20 SAS card option to enable adding sas drives a supermicro UIO card, or other?
