    Default vps cpanel

On the vps order form I see:

    cpanel-installer $8.00 per month

Is this a regular cpanel vps control panel license?

This is a standard cPanel VPS license, yes. It is more expensive than other control panels for VPS licensing, which is why it's $3 more than either Plesk or InterWorx.

No problem with the price (I paid $15/month at another provider for the cpanel vps license) -- was just confused because plesk appears under the "licenses" at the bottom whereas cpanel appears under "applications" so I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something (an additional license fee)

The Parallels Business Automation has a license manager which integrates with Plesk provisioning, which is why the license has to be ordered separately. Technically you can order Plesk without a license if you want to host only one domain with 1 email address, and all other limitations set to 1. The other control panels are licensed in other ways and require a license to function at all.
