Default Bandwidth pricing: GB vs Mbit per second?

With dedicated servers, there are two types of pricing: GB and Mbit/sec. I want to make sure I understand the difference.

GB: Is is this a maximum quantity transferred per month? If so, what happens if the limited is exceeded? If additional charges per GB, how much?

Mbit/sec: Is this a max transfer rate, with no month max (other than the max implied by the transfer rate)?

    thanks

    You are correct.

The per GB model has $0.35 per GB overages, or you can purchase additional 1000GB blocks in advance for $100 a month each.

With the per Mbit/sec billing there is a set cap, and thus there are also no overages.
