    Default Favorite registrars.

I would like to know what registrar you use and prefer and why. Also , post bad experiences with other registrars, since we could learn from another person's mistakes.

So... I'll start by saying that I'm using namecheap (great prices,an eNom reseller) and dynadot. I actually had GoDaddy in mind for one of my domains , but was having some problems with my debit card (mastercard), and neither namecheap or godaddy could process it at the time. That's why I went to dynadot, and haven't had any problems with them.

What do you recommend me to try in the feature ? (btw, prices count for me )

GoDaddy turns me off becuase of the ads they force down your throat when you try and register a new domain. I've used Namecheap for the past 3 years and they have been great (especially for SSL certs, etc). I now have an enom reseller account that I use for all my domains, and it works wonderfully too. It seemlessly integrates with H-Sphere, ModernBill, and a host of other control panels/billing systems we have used. I would definitely stick with Enom or Namecheap... but one warning, Enoms really cheap SSL certs (SBS Instant, etc) don't validate in FireFox. RapidSSL Certs are much better.

Godaddy is still my preference. There are ways to get around the ads, if you look for them .

Domains Priced Right is also my choice too

I think you can click a button similar to "continue to check out" - which means you won't have to stand those gazillion product ads.

I've had good experiences with GoDaddy and I'm also using Dreamhost's domain-registry function.

I have no major complaints, really.

    Yeah, you can do that.

I've traditionally used GoDaddy (or one of their resellers/partners/alter egos).

    [shameless plug]
That's not to say that I discourage the use of our domain registration services, but I never have. I've also not purchased any new domains recently.

It's called express checkout if I'm not making a mistake. (hope I'm not ).
So , from what I see , GoDaddy gets some points so far. Don't forget to post what you also don't like , things that annoy you (I'm evil,I know ).

Not really plugging it I guess. Just mentioning them in the thread. Seems cheap to me.

    Nobody mentioned this: http://steadfast.net/services/domains.php .
Looks decent , though adding some kind of whois protection is somewhat needed these days.

Is there actually a way to do whois from that page or anything? I'm not seeing a way to do so.
