    Default Hosting and IPv6

As far as I know ,at the current rate of consumption ( 170million IPs / year ) the IPv4 IPs will only last for a few years 6-7 , max 10. As IPv6 is the future, where does it have a place in webhosting ?
Why isn't it extensivly deployed now , and what prevents us from switching over to it ?
Also , are there big costs involved with the change ?

There are a lot of costs involved with implementing IPv6. New switches, routers, etc. can be necessary. Our equipment fully supports it, but due to carrier restrictions, we are unable to implement it at this time.

We are considering ways to implement IPv6 in the near future, but we don't have an ETA currently.
