    Default Blog Loads Slow

    Hi,

I just put up a new blog (ilovescrapbooking.org) and it seems to be loading kind of slow, does anyone have a suggestion on how I could make the pages load faster?

Default I would second that recommendation...

Is your blog getting a substantial amount of traffic? It's been causing a good deal of load unto itself; if there aren't quite a few page views going it definitely needs caching.

Default Perhaps this one is service-related

    Hi there mivpl.

Could you pass on a link if there are still issues? The MySQL2 server simply hasn't been as reliable as we like over the last week. It's twice hit an unknown condition that caused the MySQL process to eat up a core uselessly (causing 1 7m reboot, and 1 ~30s outage). It's also finally starting to fill up, so some of the users that had been parked there since its inception around a year ago using up unbelievable levels of resources started to have noticable effects on load and other users.

I suspended 4 accounts this morning that should do quite a lot. 2 I'm aware of being responsible for quite a bit of load spiking on MySQL2. We're actively investigating the race condition and don't expect another reboot (the last was its first in a few months)

If you do continue to have any issues feel free to request a move to SQL1. Though the suspensions and a thorough review of 2 should've already resolved things permanently, 1 has had no issues and I'd be happy to move you if you contact support.

I just stumbled on your post here. I had the same issue with my blog loading slow. I just removed some wordpress plugins and javascripts and became much better. Let me know if you need more details
