    Question I'm trying to be patient

    Before I signed up for an account, responses to my many questions were extremely fast. Now that I'm a customer, I'm feeling neglected. I realize that steadfast had an outage yesterday, so maybe that's keeping everyone really busy. I'm trying to be patient.

    Before I change the DNS information and have it point to the server names that steadfast gave me, I wanted to make sure that I am being put on a server that runs PHP version 5.2.x which I requested and will need in the near future because I plan on adding the current version of MediaWiki to my site.

    I noticed that when I signed up, I wasn't asked if I wanted PHP version 4 or 5. How is that supposed to work?

    My support request ticket is now 15 hrs, 11 mins, 10 secs old.

    You might have a temp location to get to your steadfast hosting so you could just stick the php info function in a file and see what it tells you.

    Unhappy

    The point of a tech support ticket is to talk with someone who knows what's going on. I'm still waiting.

    If I may suggest, a simple test will out to confirm whether you are running PHP 5.2 or not

    Create a file called phpinfo.php

    In it, paste the following code:

    PHP Code:
    <?php

    phpinfo
    ();

    ?>
    Save and upload. Then access the file and see what you get. If it doesn't show PHP 5.2, we'll go on from there. I hope that helps and I apologize for the extended wait time on your support ticket.

    While I do agree with you that you should get a response you can do phpinfo() function and get the information yourself.

    Because to tell you the truth if steadfast was answering simple request that a user could figure out themselves in a matter of seconds while a crashed server or something much more important was wrong that wouldn't be good either.

    If you have a problem and have not received a response, send another request and include the Ticket-ID from your first request. If you did not get a confirmation email within 10 minutes of submitting your ticket, it did not go through or the reply address is wrong.

    I'm sure we didn't intentionally ignore your ticket. If you can provide the ticket number (via private message or email), I will look at it and see what action was taken. However, if you just want to use PHP 5, try looking here:

    It seems your ticket had somehow been accidentally closed. The follow-up ticket though was answered in 4 minutes. If you're ever waiting that long again don't hesitate to give us a call or open a follow-up ticket.
