Can't delete backups
I have made one or two backups since moving to SF and there both approx. 70MB in size. On the control panel is it shown as i have no backups and have deleted them.
While on FTP I can see them in the home directory; these old backups are using up 140MB of 500MB. How can I delete them permanently because when i try deleting them via FTP it just says "Operation not permitted".
If anyone requires screen shots just ask me. I kind of need that 140MB urgently so please contact me asap or reply to this thread if you know how to!
Otherwise Stead Fast is the best Shared Hosting provider I have come across.

I've seen a similar issue before where the FTP client has cached the contents of the directory falsely showing it's contents. To ensure the backups are deleted try refreshing the browser in your FTP client.
If it still shows the backups try checking in the file manager in the control panel for the account. I'm unfamiliar with SF's control panel, however it should be similar to all others in the fact you should be able to view the backups via the file manager.
If all else fails I'm sure submitting a support ticket will get things squared away quickly.
