Could somebody assist as to how I could forward all computer requests to another server with another computer name. I've created an A Record in the DNS server with a record of the old server name with the new servers IP.

I can succesfully ping the old server name and get a reply back from the new server's ip. But when trying to connect using the old name.. it says there is a duplicate name on the network..

is there something I'm doing wrong?
