    Default Managing my own dns

Hello, I manage my own dns for my domains, however I was wondering what the correct settings should be regarding email.

    Code:
    *.magnify.ca CNAME magnify.ca
    magnify.ca A 216.86.146.12
    magnify.ca MX mx.magnify.ca 10
    mx.magnify.ca A 216.86.146.6
    mysql.magnify.ca A 216.86.146.7
    xxx.magnify.ca A 216.86.146.12
(the xxx is really www, but it won't let me post a website unless my post count is greater than 10)

these are the settings I'm currently using, is my mx record correct? Should I be using 216.86.146.6,I found reference to using mx0.steadfast.net, also I've been getting tons of spam, and I couldn't find any spam filtering in my control panel. Basically my main goal is to make sure my dns settings are using the correct server, and that I get some sort of spam protection working, because I'm getting quite alot of spam with virus attachments.

    Thanks,
    Joel

    Yep, those look correct.

If you want to get the SPAM filtering solution simply email sales2steadfast.net with the username and password you want to use for managing the SPAM filtering and then the domain/s you want protected and we can get that setup for you. If you end up using that you'd want to change the MX record to mx0.steadfast.net, though don't change that until you get confirmation from us that everything is setup on our side with the filtering.
