    Default Crazy Scenario...looking for help!!!

I am in contract with a company that previously had a MacMini server co-located in South Carolina. On this server they had their Intranet, Internet Web Site, Mail Services.....etc.

I have developed a new site with a hosting company in PA. Our domains were registered with GoDaddy, and once i got the new site up and running i changed the DNS settings in GoDaddy to point to the new DNS servers.

So, it has been over 2 weeks and here is the trippy part...when i got to an office across town, i can see the new site by typing WWW into the address bar.... When i get home across town, i see the old site that was on the old server...?!?!?!

I have verified all DNS records are correct, but ...BUT...i still get the old server address as one of the A records in a query...

Is that becuase DNS services was installed on that MacMini? Are some ISP's still looking at that server and not the new one?

If i remove DNS services from that MacMini can i still access my mail server?

    thanks all...

What is the domain? Maybe I can look that up and help you out here. Just to make sure, have you checked your local hosts file to see if you may have added it there directly? Otherwise, no one should have it cached for 2 weeks.

If this is only happening on your computer, perhaps it is cache'd locally.(although most things only keep dns records stored for a maximum of 24hrs)

You can clear the cache for windows or max os x, by following the directions here

    hxxp://xxx.coolhandle.com/support/faq/hosting-questions/how-do-i-clear-my-local-dns-cache/

change the x's to http, and www where appropriate.
