I just recently had a major issue with my former web host that finally made me get off my butt to look for a new residence, something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I have known about Steadfast since before it was known by the name, and I first experienced the power of the awesome network with a website they colo. Since I purchased the Bronze Plan for shared hosting, I have had my socks knocked straight off!

Pretty much everything I have experienced thus far has been top notch. However, I have run across two issues that really perplexed me, one of which was thankfully resolved by a technician that was in the (very) noisy server room. My big problem was not being able to create and write to files and folders through PHP, an issue half related to not being able to delete files or folders (hint, new KB article ). I guess I have come to rely too much on my old host to make life way too easy for me, but having to do some old-school functions (chmod-ing) isn't that much of a bother. I just didn't put one and one together after reading that KB article, either.

Kudos for leading the blind (not physically), sick (ill) man in the proper direction. I guess all the medication to get over this cold isn't doing wonders for me whatsoever.

I had another issue as well, but I was able to figure it out on my own. Normally, I have come to expect the PHP function "display_errors" to be "On" in a shared web hosting environment. I did not expect to not see errors when I ran scripts with improper PHP syntax. A simple addition to a .htaccess file fixed that problem right away.

While my initial post was going to be for support, I found the help I needed with one quick phone call at just the right time. So far, so good, guys! Keep up the good work. I'm looking for a new web host for a local organization to which I volunteer my web skills, and I think I may have found just the place. 8)
