I recently switched my host from a Bravenet pro account (costing c $85 per year) to a Steadfast starter package ($15 per year).
I feel the need to express my gratitude after making the switch. I am not, what you would call, a computer buff, and consequently didn't understand the migration procedure at all. I used the support, and was guided all the way through. Very helpful indeed.
At the same time (i suppose, you could call it to compare hosts) i posted the exact same question to my old host (Bravenet), and got a reply along the lines of........
Download your files, re-upload them, and change nameservers
To people who deal with computers, this may make perfect sense, but to me at the time, it meant precisely "Diddly Sqwat" (or nothing).
After i switched i started looking at the various webmaster tolls they supply, and, crikey!, there's a lot to choose from!!
So, if you are looking for a new host, and are reading this looking for some feedback, then i would recommend these chaps....without a shadow of a doubt.
