Hi there,
I've noticed a few times that I receive spam in my mailbox that seems to be sent by myself, to myself. This only started to occur when I transfered my site to the Steadfast hosts.
Can anyone at Steadfast take the necessary precautions ?
Thanks in advance,
Sixten

In H-Sphere under the email there is an option to turn on SPF. Clicking the ? beside SPF there will give you more information on it.
That said, it's not likely the people sending you spam are actually sending email through your SMTP server but rather just putting the email address you see in the sender and reply-to fields of the email.

Thanks jondale. I activated the SPF function immediately.
I think I must have overlooked this function, otherwise I would have activated it long time ago :)
Thanks for your help,
Sixten

It's important to realize that there is absolutely no way for you to prevent people from sending mails that look like they are from you. That's just the way the internet's current email system works.
As an analogy, a malicious individual could just as easily send a death threat to someone via postal (snail) mail with your info as the return address.
What's funny is that on G4TV's Attack of the show they actually showed you how to send aliased emails..
