MySQL database backups can restore by control panel

Yesterday, I'm trying to upgrade my Movable Type system. Before that, I use control panel to backup my database and download it.

After upgrade, I realize some problem and want to restore the database.

I use the control panel to restore the database from the backup file I downloaded. After restore completed, I found all the data is mess up. It might because of the character setting problem.

Now I have no idea how to restore my database back to as before.

Would you please offer someone to contact me or help me to restore the database from your backup server? Thank you.

I'm interested, cause one of my sites has a database with non-English international characters.

Finally, I contact to the support department.

There is a staff help me to restore the database.

He ask me to offer the backup file I get from the control panel,

and then he restore the data for me right away.

Thanks to the staff anyway.
