Not sure how much you guys keep up with your competition, but fortunately for you guys and unfortunately for us poor souls who need to rent central-US servers for game hosting, steadfast is the only reputable dedicated hosting provider I could find in Dallas or Chicago that will install their users' OS of choice on dedicated machines.
I recently moved from another host who did so for me a couple of years ago but refused when I wanted to upgrade to a new machine, then agreed reluctantly to get me to upgrade, then never followed through with the promise (needless to say i was pissed).
Since theplanet has gone off buying other hosts and getting too big to handle their own operation they don't handle individual requests anymore either, nor does 800hosting or softlayer (the best softlayer would do for me is rent me a KVM (if i ordered a dual xeon or higher) so i could install the OS i wanted on my own).
So yea, don't go getting too big on us and throwing us all completely to automated-tools, there's no one else left that will actually handle a simple custom OS install ;).
