    Default Planned Network Changes

As I've had many people asking, I figured I'd make a forum post detailing the changes we'll be making to our network due to the recent issues sooner rather than later.

    1) Establish a status page and out of band configuration for our support channels, phone system, etc. as well as an overall network status page.

    2) We will be adding 10 GigE RioRey units when they become available to be able to handle larger attacks.

    3) We will be integrating both of our networks into a single product. This is the one that affects our customers the most, as we will basically be upgrading all standard network customers to the performance network. We will be increasing the list pricing, as we'll only have the performance network, but pricing will stay the same for existing customers. The unifying of the network will allow us to remove the Juniper routers from our network, which have been serving as a bit of a processing bottleneck and have been causing some traffic to traverse our core network multiple times. This reduced processing load and increased efficiency of the network will certainly help with issues such as this in the future.

    4) We will be adding additional core switches. The load of the network will then be spread over a wider array of core switches, allowing us to process and properly handle a larger amount of traffic.
